Abstrak

Media televisi nasional di Indonesia berkembang pesat semenjak awal tahun 2000an. Beberapa stasiun televisi muncul dan mengudara serta menambah jumlah saluran dalam pajanan gelombang pesawat televisi bagi pemirsa Indonesia. Namun ada satu hal yang patut menjadi kewaspadaan yaitu berkembang pesatnya stasiun televisi nasional tersebut berbasis di kota Jakarta. Dalam sudut pandang politik ekonomi media dan studi budaya, stasiun televisi nasional berbasis Jakarta ini berpotensi memunculkan terjadinya invasi kebudayaan metropolitan kepada masyarakat di berbagai pelosok daerah nusantara. Berbagai progam siaran jurnalistik dan hiburan mengedepankan konten Jakarta-sentris dan agak mengesampingkan konten lokal di daerah. Menjadi hal yang patut dicermati bagaimana asumsi kritis terhadap perkembangan siaran televisi nasional (baca: Jakarta) dan potensi hegemonis budaya Jakarta/metropolitan terhadap masyarakat Indonesia.

  Abstrack

National television media in Indonesia have developed rapidly since the early 2000s. Several television stations and appeared on the air and increase the number of channels in a plane wave exposure to television viewers Indonesia. But there is one thing that should be vigilance that is rapidly developing a national television station is based in the city. In a political economy point of view of media and cultural studies, Jakarta-based national television station has the potential to bring cultural invasion to the public in various metropolitan areas throughout the archipelago. Various programs promoting broadcast journalism and entertainment content Jakarta-centric and a bit of local content rule in the region. Be a thing that should be observed how the critical assumptions on the development of a national television broadcast (read: Jakarta) and the potential hegemonic culture Jakarta / metropolis on Indonesian society.
